URBAN WATERWORLDS

This transdisciplinary communication project entitled “Urban Waterworlds: Dialogues on Urban Flooding, Climate Justice and the Future of Water in the City” was co-developed with Dr. Silke Oldenburg at the University of Basel, funded by an Agora grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (2022-23).

Urban Waterworlds explores the stories of young people’s concerns about urban waters, flooding and futurity. The collaborative project draws on the diverse knowledge of a team of academics, grassroots environmental organisations, social workers, teachers, and photographers. It involved workshops, urban environmental collective walks, and artistic work, with youth in Lausanne and Basel, Switzerland, and Cartagena, Colombia.
